Summer Hand-Building Series: Pinch Pot Session

Over the month of June, participants will learn the core pillars of hand-building, including pinch pots, coil building, and slab construction. Students have the option to sign up for one or all three sessions if desired.

Each session will include a brief introduction to glazing. After the hand-building and glazing sessions, all students will gather for a collective show and tell, where students will display their creations and take home their finished work.

Pinch pots are a foundational hand-building technique where clay is pinched and shaped by hand to form hollow vessels. This session focuses on thickness, symmetry, and control. Students can create items such as berry bowls, butter bells, ice cream bowls, or a mug set, learning how to refine forms into polished, functional pieces.

This workshop includes 2 hands on sessions & a show + collective show & tell.

June 2 (pinch pot intro ) 4-8 p.m.

June 16 (pinch pot glaze session) 4-8 p.m.

June 30 (collective show & tell) 4- 8 p.m.
