Discover the joy of working with clay in this hands-on, beginner-friendly ceramics workshop led by local artist and CAA Pottery Studio lead instructor Courtney Krempa. Designed for those new to the pottery wheel, this series, hosted over four evenings, will introduce you to the foundational techniques of wheel-throwing in a fun and supportive setting.
Over the first two sessions, you’ll learn the basics of centering, pulling, and shaping clay to create your own mugs and bowls. Day three will focus on trimming, surface decoration, and refining your pieces. On the final day, you'll dive into the glazing process, preparing your bisque-fired work for its final transformation in the kiln.
To deepen your practice, this course also includes two complimentary open studio sessions, giving you extra time to explore and create at your own pace.
Whether you're looking to try something new, express your creativity, or simply enjoy the tactile satisfaction of clay, this workshop is the perfect place to start.
